Shamrocks and Centers

This week in centers the kids worked on St. Patrick’s Day Sentence Scramble where they had to sort cards and put them into correct order and add correct punctuation marks and capital letters.  They sorted cards into long vowels and they had to spell the picture card names using our vowel pattern rules. They had to match up pots of gold to the shamrock place value cards.  Another fun center was counting gold coins and writing in the missing numbers. They had to look for patterns in the missing coins by counting by 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, odd numbers, and counting down from a number also.
