We are working on main idea and supporting details. We wrote stories on who or what we love and had to write details to support our topic. They did a very nice job. They love their families and first grade! I am impressed with how much they have improved on their writing. I hope you got a chance to read them when you came to the valentine party!

More party fun…playing “Minute to Win It” by sucking up M&M’s with a straw and moving them to another cup. It was a quiet minute in the room!
Playing a racing game called “Broken Heart”. They had to pass a tissue paper heart back and forth using a clothes pin without breaking the heart. Another quiet minute as they concentrated so hard!
A favorite game and not so quiet game….”Heart Lava”! They had to use two large hearts to move across the room without falling in the “lava”. A very fun racing game!
